Founded in 1643 by Claude Trudon on Paris’s rue Saint-Honoré, Cire Trudon holds the title as oldest candle-maker in the world. In its illustrious history it supplied light for the courts of Louis XIV and Marie Antoinette as well as Napolean I’s coronation.
The label’s luxurious candles feature Venetian-made glass, a unique beeswax formula and carefully curated decadent fragrances. Its motto ‘deo regique laborant’ translates as ‘they work for God and the King’.
